Every year, humpback whales honor us with their presence in Polynesia to rest, give birth, and mate — an incredible opportunity we’re lucky to witness.

During the breeding and calving season, these majestic whales gather in our warm waters, which provide ideal conditions for observing them in their natural environment. You'll be amazed by the courtship displays of male whales leaping out of the water and slapping the surface with their powerful fins. This breathtaking show will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Ocean excursions are full of surprises — marine mammals, turtles, sharks, and many other species can often be seen during your adventure.

There will be a maximum of 6 people on board (compared to 12 on other operators). For those wishing to enter the water, it is important to be a good swimmer able to swim over 200 meters in the ocean.

All gear is included in the price of our excursions (fins, mask, snorkel, and wetsuit).

Drinks and snacks are available on board (water, tea, lemonade, and small treats).

Our whale specialists will guide you through all safety protocols and reveal fascinating insights about the local fauna and flora.

If we are lucky enough to encounter singing males, the hydrophone on board will carry their haunting melodies, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the ocean’s enchanting songs.

Tahiti Freediving is certified by the Department of Environment and ensures respectful approaches to marine mammals in accordance with guidelines.

As nature lovers, we must accept its conditions, including the possibility that water entries may be canceled to protect marine mammals or for safety reasons.

Remember to bring your swimsuit, towel, sunglasses, hat/cap, and sunscreen if needed. Restrooms and showers are available at the boarding point.
