LEVEL 3 AIDA

With Us

Program

The AIDA 3 course is designed to build upon the foundations acquired during AIDA 2. It enables students to develop the knowledge and skills required to plan and conduct freediving sessions independently with divers of a similar level.

The course also provides a deeper understanding of safety procedures and the risks associated with pressure. You will learn new techniques such as Frenzel equalization, freefall, and the use of training tables.

Prerequisites:
You must be certified as an AIDA 2 freediver, or complete a one-day evaluation if you already hold an equivalent certification from another training organization.

Registration requirements:
Open to participants aged 16 and above (written consent from both parents or legal guardian(s) is required for minors).

AIDA 3 performance requirements:

  • 24 to 30 meters Constant Weight (CWT)

  • 2 minutes 45 seconds Static Apnea (STA)

  • 55 meters Dynamic Apnea (DYN)

  • Free Immersion (FIM) with freefall demonstration (no depth requirement)

Please note: For some students, the performance requirements needed to certify a level may take longer to achieve and may require additional training sessions. Freediving is a recreational activity, and the goal is not to constantly push your limits, but to enjoy the experience and progress at your own pace.

Then at 1:30 PM, meet at the boat (see Tahiti Freediving on Google Maps).
You’ll be a small group onboard.
We’ll head to our best dive sites, located just 5–10 minutes by boat from the marina.
This session will focus on relaxation techniques, equalization practice, and free immersion.

DAY 2 & DAY 3

This session emphasizes refining all techniques learned so far.

Later, we’ll move to a confined water session to practice dynamic apnea, with a focus on body position and finning technique.
You’ll also continue practicing buddy procedures and
