INSTRUCTOR AIDA

With Us

Planning

The AIDA International instructor training is aimed at freedivers who wish to share their passion and teach freediving in a professional, safe, and educational manner. AIDA instructors have the privilege of working anywhere in the world.

In addition to personal freediving skills, this curriculum teaches how to supervise students, organize sessions, instruct AIDA standards, and manage group safety in aquatic environments.

The training emphasizes: - Pedagogy and transmission, - Safety and rescue protocols, - Organization of sessions and training, - Technical analysis and correction, - Management of students and real-life situations, - Theory of freediving and physiology, - Professionalism and accountability in supervision. The curriculum alternates between theoretical knowledge, practical sessions in the pool and in deeper waters, situational training, and educational assessments.

Goal

Upon completion of the training, the candidate will be capable of teaching the corresponding AIDA levels autonomously, safely, and in accordance with international standards*

Prerequisites for the level: Must be certified AIDA 4 or undergo a day of assessment if already certified at an equivalent level from another organization. Hold a first aid certificate (EFR, RIFAA, or equivalent). Registration conditions: Accessible from the age of 18.

*** It's worth noting that for some practitioners, the required skills to validate the levels may be reached with additional time and extra sessions. Freediving is a leisure activity; there is no need to push one's limits but rather to enjoy the experience

It's important to know that diving is more effective with a lightly filled stomach for apnea, so feel free to take nuts or fruits; you'll notice the difference!
